With 700 years of  history inside its walls, yet all the comforts and conveniences of a superior 4-Star international chain hotel, the Hotel Rivoli is the perfect setting for any trip to ancient Florence.  Located in the city’s historical center, this unique hotel occupies a converted 15th-century monastery and still retains many of its original features such as vaulted ceilings, stone columns and exposed beams.

In this oasis of tranquillity, it is hard to imagine that you are in a bustling city center, thanks to features such as the ancient Patio garden, a flower-filled landscaped garden, paved with traditional Florentine  tiles and containing a hot tub and garden bar. There is also a botanical garden, shaded by fruit trees and cypress. For the energetic, there is complementary use of a nearby fitness center.

Guest rooms also evoke the hotel’s past history; there arehigh ceilings and tall windows with slatted shutters and patterned drapes. As one may expect in a historical building, each room is different, however all have the conveniences you would expect in a modern 4-Star hotel, such as air conditioning and heating, satellite television and minibar.

The hotel’s recently opened Benedicta Restaurant offers a choice of refined dishes some of which include Florentine traditional recipes that have been lovingly revisited. The family-run restaurant ensures that each dish is studiously created for the pleasure of the more demanding and curious palate. The menu is frequently changed and varied according to the season, along with a specially-selected wine list.

The restaurant mixes modern innovation inside the pre-existing structure and its old Florentine style cross-vaulted ceilings to confer brightness, originality and elegance. In the summer, the Benedicta offers al fresco dining on the Tuscan-style garden terrace , an oasis of peace where you can enjoy your aperitif or complete dinner.
