The Albus is a design hotel with special furniture, lighting and materials. Maureen Mak van Waay who designed the new bar and reception desk is also responsible for the design of the rooms and public area. She made a choice out of different designers and their products. The striking bar stools are made of Plexiglas and stainless steel, designed by Italian designer Coloci, the Bibendum chair designed by Eileen Gray and Illum studio for the chandeliers 'Cup' and 'Zeppelin'. Other designers and their products are; Marc Sadler, More Design, Enzo Catellani, Andreas Lund, Flemming Hojfeld and Per Weiss.

The Albus will surprise you with little luxuries where you least expect it, so you can experience that personal touch you deserve.

About the Location

The Albus is located in the historical heart of Amsterdam and within walking distance from most of the top tourist attractions.

Save money by not having to travel far, as several entertainment 'hotspots' are a very short walk away. Whether you're after bars, restaurants, nightclubs, theatre, movies or comedy, you'll find it all here.

Holland's most popular shopping street, the Kalverstraat, begins at the opposite of the hotel. Famous for it's enormous selection of retail stores so you can shop till you drop!

For RAI Congress visitors the hotel is only 15 minutes away by tram (direct connection) or 10 minutes by taxi.

You'll also be located only a few doors down from the Amsterdam Archives. Stretching 32 kilometres, this city archives is the largest in the world. Here you can read about the theft of Anne Frank's bicycle in 1942.
