GAY AND LESBIAN HOTELS IN The Netherlands

The Netherlands is one of the most liberal nations in Europe. The international city of Amsterdam is famed for its red light district, cannabis coffee shops, peep shows and sleazy bars as well as a very diverse and specialist gay nightlife. There is something here for most people’s tastes whether into clubbing, bears, leather or spas with most venues located on Zeedijk or Amstel.

There’s plenty in the calendar with monthly gay club nights, Amsterdam Gay Skinhead Week in April, Leather Pride in November, or the famous White Party. The Amsterdam Canal Parade is a popular event as part of the Annual Gay Pride festival in August.

Aside from the entertainment it is a great city to explore by foot along the canals among the Renaissance Architecture enjoying beer, cheeses and crepes. Rotterdam, The Hague, Dordrecht and Utrecht all have vibrant and thriving gay nightlife, so you don’t have to be in the capital to have a good time.

If there is anywhere you can enjoy a cycling holiday then it’s here. The country is near flat and a majority of its land sits beneath sea level, so beyond the cities it’s easy to explore the coast, lakes and its islands.
